Part 1: The Fake Reality of Compromise

Feburary 7, 2020

Well after two weeks vacation we are back and the message this week is:

“The Fake Reality of Comprise”. This came about as a topic with our oldest son. Now to understand this we are going to the movies! We all love movies whether we NETFLIX and chill or go out to the local theater. Movies present an escape from the everyday, it’s a way to direct our attention into the temporary imaginative. No matter your favorite movie it blurs reality and real life. We have been conditioned to accept acting as a job, yet fiction, thus not real.

The movie studios, media and actors themselves do an amazing job at diverting us from the truth. That what’s acted out in a movie, is “excused” when it comes to that person’s real life. However, it is not! Many actors including Denzel (the best) will have you believe they are “Saved Christians” and that God is the head of their lives and that he is the reason they are successful at their craft. They even go around speaking and motivating everyday people with this compromised “gospel”. Which causes our youth in particular to be confused about God. As to whether or not He has compromising standards of obedience to His word. Well He does not!

The truth is, when real life married actors kiss anyone that is not his or her spouse in a movie that is cheating/lusting. If they simulate or perform sex in a movie that is fornication and or adultery. When an actor’s script requires the use of vulgar language, that is a foolish tongue. None of which God would condone simply because it’s a movie. Trust when I tell you Hollywood is the devil’s playground.

I also know, I just spoiled movie night for everyone. Part 2 next week. God Bless! READ: Colossians 2:8, 1 John 2:16-19
